Description

The water pump at Launceston Castle, dated 1739 and inscribed with "IH," is located at the well-head. It features a lead pump head, wooden casing, and a dressed granite water trough. The structure is square in shape and has a lead spout that leads to a round-arched panelled front. Similar panelled designs are present on the other sides, and there is a shaped iron handle on the right side.
