Description
This structure consists of a range of five lime kilns, likely built in the early 19th century, with one kiln added slightly later. The kilns are constructed from slatestone rubble. The main range includes four kilns that have two cross access passages leading to smaller furnace chambers on either side. An additional kiln is located on the left, featuring a furnace chamber to its left. The front of the kilns has two tall round-arched openings. The interior has not been inspected. These kilns are part of a group that includes the water-powered kilns in Dobwalls and Trewidland Civil Parish, and it is possible that the same power source was used for these kilns.
