Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 25 meters southwest of the Church of Saint Mylor, dates from the early 19th century. It features dressed granite monolith sides that are chamfered at the top, with a course of bricks above, supporting an inscribed granite lid that has a torus moulded border. The tomb is rectangular in shape. The lid bears an incised inscription commemorating Philippa Bull, who died in 1806 at the age of 26, and Kitty Powell, the daughter of John and Philippa, who died in 1810 at the age of 4.
