Description

Chimney at East Kithill Mine, built in the mid-19th century, is constructed from roughly coursed slate stone and granite, topped with red brick. It features a stepped base and capping, and has a circular section that tapers towards the top. This chimney was part of the Kithill Consols mining complex, which operated until the late 19th century and was primarily focused on tin extraction.
