Description
This building is a barn located 10 metres to the southwest of Higher Lank House, likely serving as a granary and shippen. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of granite rubble with a rag slate roof that has hipped ends. The barn has a rectangular plan, featuring a two-storey elevation on the north side and a single-storey elevation on the south side, which provides access to the loft. The ground floor probably contains shippens, while the granary is situated above. There is a circa 19th-century lean-to outshot on the left-hand end. The two-storey north elevation has doors leading to the shippen on the ground floor and a plank door above. The rear elevation remains particularly unspoilt, with a plank door leading to the loft. The barn is part of a group with Higher Lank House.
