Description
The wash house, dating from the early 19th century, is located parallel to the rear of Carthew Farmhouse. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a corrugated asbestos roof and a granite end stack. The building has a small rectangular plan with a projection at the rear right-hand corner for a copper. It is a single storey structure with a two-window front that faces the farmhouse, featuring 9-pane fixed lights and a central doorway with a ledged door. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included in the listing for its group value with the farmhouse.
