Description

Butterwell is a wellhouse dating from the early 19th century, constructed from slate stone rubble and featuring slate shelves. It has a rectangular shape and is located at the southeast corner of a small pond, approximately 40 metres west of the former rectory of Trevalga, known as The Old Rectory. The wellhouse includes the remnants of a timber doorframe that frames a two-centred arched opening in the front gable end. Inside, the slate slab shelves are positioned against the left-hand wall.
