Description
This building, located directly to the south of the Church of St Catherine, is an outbuilding used as a store, dating from the late 19th century. It may have been constructed around the same time as the restoration of the church, possibly by the architect Silvanus Trevail.
The structure is made of ashlar granite, incorporating much reused dressed granite from the church. It features a slate roof with gable ends and slate barge boards. The building has a rectangular plan with an entrance in the west gable end. It is a single-storey building with reset dressed granite. On the north side, which faces the Church of St Catherine, there are several crosses, including emblems of the Knights Hospitallers. A reused granite wheelhead cross serves as a finial on the west gable end, while a Latin cross is located on the east gable end. The entrance in the west gable end has a reused granite segmental arch with a deep hollow chamfered arch and chamfered jambs. The interior is not accessible.
