Description
The Dayman chest tombs, located about 3 metres south of the chancel of the church of St Olaf, are two memorials dedicated to members of the Dayman family. They date from the late 18th century and are constructed from freestone ashlar with inscribed slate lids. The southernmost tomb commemorates John Dayman, who died in 1786, along with other members of the Dayman family. The northernmost tomb is dedicated to Barbara Dayman, who died in 1753.
