Description
The Fraddon Methodist Church, along with its attached Sunday school and coach house, was built in 1877. It is constructed from granite rubble with a slate roof featuring ridge tiles and gable ends. The church’s plan consists of a single auditorium with a front entrance and a ritual east end. A Sunday school is attached to the rear, and a coach house is attached to the left side, forming an L-shaped arrangement.
The symmetrical front gable end features a round-arched doorway with a keystone, containing plank double doors and a fanlight with Gothic glazing bars. To the right and left of the doorway are round-arched windows with margin glazing, each set within a dressed stone arch with a keystone. A recessed circular datestone with voussoirs sits above. Two round-arched windows with 20th-century glazing are located on each side of the church. The attached Sunday school, at a lower roof level, has a door with an overlight on its left side. The coach house is rendered and has single and double doors to the front. The interior was not inspected.
