Description

This guidestone, likely from the 19th century, is a painted granite monolith with a square base and a flat top. It is roughly hewn and stands about 90 centimetres high. The stone features two holes, suggesting it may have once served as a gate post. The upper case lettering, which includes serifs, is carved and painted, indicating directions to St Austell and Mevagissey.
