Description
The Duncan tomb, located approximately 15 metres north of the tower of the Church of St Mawnan, is a chest tomb dating from the early 19th century. It commemorates Samuel Duncan, who died in 1839 at the age of 46, and his widow Judith Duncan, who passed away in 1855 at the age of 65. The tomb is made of dressed granite and is rectangular in shape. It features a chamfered base with two courses of brick above it. The lid of the tomb is a monolithic piece of granite that has an incised inscription.
