Description

LINKINHORNE SX 27 SE 6/4 Caradon Villa - GV II House, probably originally built as part of East Caradon Mine. Late C19 with few later alterations. Granite rubble with granite quoins and dressings. Hipped slate roof with ridge and hip tiles. Stacks to sides. Plan: Double depth plan, with central entrance through porch, principal room to front left and right and service rooms to rear, all heated from side stacks. Single storey unheated service room in lean-to at the left side. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front; all 12-pane sashes with flat granite lintels. Later C19 central gabled porch, glazed, with bargeboards and finial; door with margin glazing and inner panelled door with overlight. Attached to left a single storey lean-to with 12-pane sash to front. Right side rendered. Rear and interior not inspected.
