Description

The lamp post at the entrance to Gyllyngdune Gardens in Falmouth was manufactured in 1907 by DM Windsor of Hodeston. It is made of cast iron and features a bulbous base adorned with anthemion and acanthus decoration. The post has a slender shaft topped with three lamps on scrolled brackets, surrounding a taller central lamp. Each lamp is fitted with a textured glass globe encased in an iron cage and topped with domed cowls that have finials. This lamp post is included for its group value.
