Description

The Old Almshouses, located at Cobb's Well in Fowey, date from the early 17th century, specifically before 1626. This building consists of a row of small, two-storey structures made of uncoursed rubble. There are four windows in total, featuring new casements, all with wooden stop-chamfered lintels. The ground floor has three-light windows, while the first floor has two-light casements with leaded lights. The doors are made of board with vertical fillets. The building has a steeply pitched slate roof with gable ends. Nos 1 to 6 form a cohesive group.
