Description
Chimney located at Wheal St Vincent, built around 1835, is constructed from killas rubble. It features a tall tapered stack with a complete band around the top. This chimney served the Wheal St Vincent silver and lead smelting works, which were active from approximately 1810 to 1848. The structure was likely built during the middle period of the works' operation, as noted by A.K. Hamilton-Jenkin in "Mines and Miners of Cornwall."
