Description
This building is a bank barn located approximately 20 meters southeast of Fentengo Farmhouse, dating from around the mid-18th century. It is constructed from slate rubble and cob, featuring large dressed quoins. The barn has a steeply pitched rag slate roof with hipped ends and a rectangular plan that includes a shippon on the ground floor, with an outshut added to the rear left. The ground rises to the right, providing access to a threshing floor above at the right-hand end.
The barn is two storeys high, with splayed ventilation slits on the ground floor and opposed doors leading to the threshing floor above. There is a plank door at the right-hand end. Inside, the barn features an oak pegged roof with lapped and pegged collars.
