Description

The Bilberry Pit Kiln Chimney is a late 19th-century structure associated with a china clay drying process. It is built from granite rubble and brick, featuring a circular plan with a diameter of about 4 metres at the base. The chimney tapers upwards, with the lower stage made of granite and adorned with cast iron banding. The upper stage has a brick collar and a cornice. The rest of the drying facility is no longer standing.
