The guide post located approximately a quarter mile north of Kingole Farm dates from the early 19th century. It is made of granite, partially whitewashed, with a black painted band around the middle. The post is square in shape with a flat top. On the north side, it features simple upper case serif lettering that reads 'ST VEEP' and 'FOWEY', along with a painted arrow indicating direction. The west side displays the word 'LOSTL' with a painted hand pointing to the right and 'LISKD' with a painted hand pointing to the left. There is also a bench mark below the inscriptions.
