Description

This chest tomb, located approximately 23 meters south of the transept of the Church of Saint Mylor, dates from 1804 to 1805. It commemorates Christopher Buckingham, who died at the age of 63, and his wife Thomazine, who died in 1804 at the age of 59. The tomb features dressed granite monolith sides, with one end of each side enclosing a corner and a slate slab insert that has a fine incised inscription. There is also a small square insert in the middle, likely intended for flowers. The tomb is rectangular in shape.
