Description
There are three chest tombs located approximately 25 meters south of the porch of the Church of Saint Mylor. These tombs date from the early 19th century and are made of dressed granite plinths with granite monoliths on each side. They feature freestone lids with moulded cornices and moulded borders. Each chest is rectangular in shape and oriented east-west, with two chests positioned side by side on the west side that are almost identical. The chest on the east has the base of an outer wall for an iron fence. The inscriptions on the lids are mostly indecipherable, but the east chest has an inscription at the east end commemorating Tresidder Hernaman, who died in 1877.
