Description
The survey office, now a lecture room, was built by the Camborne School of Mines around 1899. It features a weather-boarded timber frame set on a concrete plinth, topped with a slurried slate roof and red ridge tiles. The building has a rectangular plan oriented on an east-west axis and is a single storey with five bays. Each side wall includes large rectangular windows with two top-hung casement openings above eight fixed panes. There are modern flat-roofed additions at each end, which are not considered of special interest. This survey office is part of a remarkably complete group of turn-of-the-century tin mining buildings at this site.
