Description
The limekilns, now disused, date from the early 19th century and are constructed of stone rubble with pointed brick arches at the openings. They have a rectangular plan and are built into the slope at the rear. The structure features four pointed brick arches: two on the front wall and one in each side wall, with brick-lined reveals. The grates and flues are intact. An overgrown track to the left leads to the top of the kilns, which was originally used for top loading. Lime was likely unloaded at Drefring Quay. The kilns are shown on the Tithe Apportionment Map from 1840.
