Description

The gate piers and flanking walls at the entrance to Antron Farm date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from granite ashlar, featuring terminal piers with cambered granite copings and dressed granite monolithic gate piers. The side walls are cyma-on-plan and flank slender square-on-plan gate piers, with wider square-on-plan terminal piers. The walls rise towards the terminal piers, and the piers are topped with squat pyramidal caps. Notably, the right-hand gate pier is broken.
