Description
The Crews monument is a chest tomb located about 3 metres south of the south aisle of the Church of St Mewan. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed from granite rubble. The tomb features a plain rectangular shape with a slate inscription plate laid on top. The inscription provides a laudatory description of the occupant, Mary Crews, who passed away in 1780, highlighting her "Meekness of Temper, Affability, benevolence and spotless Innocence."
