Description

Farmhouse, dating from around the middle of the 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite and brick dressings, and has dry Delabole slate hipped roofs. Rendered brick stacks rise from the side walls. The building was originally designed with a double-depth plan, likely featuring two reception rooms at the garden front, and an axial entrance hall leading to a stair hall located between two service rooms at the rear. A former service lean-to on the left side was remodelled and raised to become two storeys in the 20th century.

The south west garden front is symmetrical, featuring three windows and no visible doorway. It has shallow segmental brick arches above all original openings. Most windows are original 12-pane horned sashes, although some are replacements. The south east entrance front, also with three windows, has a doorway to the left of the middle window. The door is likely original with six panels, the top four panels being later glazed. A 20th-century classical style porch now fronts the entrance.

The interior, partially inspected, includes an original straight flight staircase with an open string, stick balusters, and a turned newel post. Original carpentry and joinery details are present where visible.
