Description

The engine house at Polgooth Mine is a roofless structure located at a disused tin mine, serving as a prominent landmark. It features stone rubble walls with semi-circular headed openings, some of which have timber lintels. The building has quoins and is partly covered with ivy. At the south end, there is an open shaft surrounded by a low rubble wall. Notably, the engine house does not have a chimney.
