Description

The Bowden monument is a headstone located in the churchyard about 9 metres northeast of the chancel of the Church of St. Germanus. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of slate. The headstone features a stepped nowy head with a primitive carved cherub's head with wings in a shaped recessed panel at the top. It includes verses and an inscription dedicated to Catherine Bowden, dated 1801.
