Description

28, 29, and 30 Sydenham Road is a terrace of three houses built in the mid-19th century. Constructed from limestone ashlar, the houses feature lateral and party wall stacks, along with hipped roofs made of slate and concrete tiles. The design follows the Italianate style and includes three storeys plus a basement, with a six-window range. The end houses project slightly and have side porches, while No. 29 has a left-hand doorway in the middle. The ground floor is banded to a plat band, and the first floor features pilasters with capitals, a frieze, and deep eaves supported by paired brackets. The doorways are adorned with consoles supporting canopies, overlights, and six-panel doors. The plain windows on the first floor have consoles supporting cornices, are smaller on the second floor, and consist of 6/6-pane sashes with margin bars. The interior has not been inspected.
