Description

This is a pair of attached houses, dating to around 1820, now used as shops. They are located on The Mall, Clifton, Bristol and were originally one house. The building is constructed of limestone ashlar with party wall stacks and a pantile mansard roof. It follows a double-depth plan and is of a Late Georgian style. The building is three storeys and has an attic, with a three-window facade.

Originally designed as one house, the building features a cornice and parapet; it has since been divided into two with a 2:1 window arrangement. Number 7 has a 19th-century shop front with a two-panel door, plain panelled side jambs, and plate-glass windows with a central shop door. Number 9 possesses a shop front dating to the late 20th century. The first floor has horned plate-glass sash windows. The second floor contains tall windows with 6/6-pane sashes. There are two dormers to the attic of Number 7. The interior remains uninspected.
