Description

A terrace of nine houses located in Clifton, Bristol, dating from the 1830s and built in a late Georgian style. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar, with party wall stacks and a slate and pantile roof, with hipped ends. Each house is two storeys high and has a single window on the front elevation. The stepped terrace is distinguished by pilasters extending to a cornice and parapet. The left-hand doorways feature bracketed, moulded canopies with sunken roll mouldings, overlights, and two-panel doors. The tripartite timber windows contain 4/4-pane sashes, flanked by 2/2-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. The terrace represents a well-preserved example of a row of more modest housing.
