Description
This drinking fountain, located approximately 40 meters south of Towerhirst on Clifton Down, was built in 1883. It features limestone ashlar construction with details in marble and pink granite. The design includes a semicircular arch supported by square granite pilasters topped with marble foliate capitals. Below the arch is a granite basin with a splash-back and a separate basin for dogs. The fountain was erected by William Hind.
