Description

The building is a carriage house, dating from circa 1860. It is constructed of squared Pennant rubble with limestone dressings, and has a roof that is not visible. It follows a single-depth plan and is built in a single storey. The architectural style is Castellated Gothic, featuring a single, two-centred arched carriage gateway. This gateway is flanked by stepped parapet walls and a raised panel above the arch, with octagonal turrets attached to the screen walls. The interior was not inspected. The carriage house was originally built as part of the estate for Cook’s Folly House (listed separately), and is now incorporated into a 20th-century house. The building is included on the list for group value.
