Description
Rodney Cottages is a pair of attached houses dating from the early 19th century, located on Clifton Down Road in Bristol. They are built of black stucco with limestone dressings and feature a gable stack and a hipped slate roof, reflecting a late Georgian style. The buildings rise to three storeys and have a four-window range. The left-hand house has one window, while the right-hand house is symmetrical with three windows. Each house has semicircular-arched doorways topped with a four-pane fanlight and six-panel doors. The windows are fitted with plate-glass sashes. Although the interior was not inspected, the cottages are complemented by subsidiary features, including an attached squared rubble wall with wrought-iron railings and gates, which are adorned with urn finials.
