Description

Orchard House is an attached house dating to circa 1780, situated in Bristol. It is an early Georgian style building with a double-depth plan. The house is rendered, and the roof is not visible from street level. It has three storeys and a three-window range, presenting a symmetrical facade with a coped parapet. The entrance features a timber canopy supported by thin brackets, sheltering a 6-panel door with glazed middle panels and a 3-pane overlight. The windows are predominantly 8/8-pane sashes, with the central window being a 6/6-pane sash in an exposed frame. To the right of the house are garage doors, above which is another 6/6-pane window. Inside, the house has a central hall with an oval ceiling panel and a dogleg staircase featuring column-on-vase balusters and square newels. The interior also includes panelled rooms, doors, and shutters.
