Description

This is a mid-19th century house located on Southville Road, Southville, Bristol. It is built with limestone ashlar on the front, Pennant rubble on the sides, and has ashlar gable end stacks topped with double Roman tile roofing. The building follows a double-depth plan.

The house is two storeys high and originally had a four-window front. The right-hand gable projects, and features rusticated quoins and a plat band. An open porch occupies the left side of the gable, with columns featuring Egyptian-style capitals supporting a canopy, and a 20th-century door. The ground-floor bays are two-light windows with segmental, keyed heads and weathered tops. First-floor windows also have segmental, keyed heads and deep sill blocks, paired in the projecting gable. Decorative bargeboards with small finials adorn the gable, and the end gable stacks have cornices. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
