Description
The gateway and boundary wall to the east and west sides of Gasferry Road in Bristol were built around 1840 for the Bristol and Clifton Oil Gas Company. The structure features squared coursed Pennant stone walls with rock-faced jambs. It includes gate piers topped with gableted caps, and a curved boundary wall with brick coping that extends approximately 100 meters to the west and 150 meters to the east, reaching the former Gas Company offices. The street is paved with granite setts, has iron kerbs, and flagged footways. This structure is an important remnant of the industrial Victorian urban landscape.
