Description

This is a terrace of three houses, now used as shops and offices, located in the Centre of Bristol. The terrace dates from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and the 20th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, with brick gable and party wall stacks and a double Roman tile mansard roof. The building follows a double-depth plan and is in a late Georgian style.

Each house is three storeys high with a double attic, and has a two-window range. The façade is articulated by pilaster strips, though these are missing between numbers 1 and 3. A moulded coping, coped party wall, and stack are visible between numbers 3 and 5, with a first-floor band. The 19th-century shop fronts have pilasters supporting a fascia and cornice, featuring four-pane and six-pane shop windows. Original windows are keyed, and have horned plate-glass sashes. A continuous dormer runs the full width of the attic, featuring casements in the lower part. Above this are four gabled dormers with barge-boards and finials.

The interior has largely been modernised in the late 20th century.
