Description

The building comprises a terrace of four houses located in Chock Lane, Westbury On Trym, Bristol. The terrace combines elements from the 16th and 18th centuries. Constructed of rubble, with brick end stacks and a pantile roof, the terrace follows an L-shaped plan and is a single depth. Each house is two storeys high, with Nos. 24 and 25 having an additional attic. No. 26, the rightmost house, displays a 5-window range on its principal elevation with irregular fenestration and retains an original Tudor-arched timber-framed doorway with a plank door. No. 24 has an 8/8-pane sash window. Replacement doors and windows are present in the other houses. Inside No. 26, original features include exposed beams with studwork mortices and chamfers, although the staircase is from the 20th century. The terrace possesses group value, contributing to the character of the area.
