Description
Harley Lodge is an attached house built around 1780, showcasing a mix of stucco and limestone dressings, with a brick gable stack and a roof made of slate and tile. This mid-Georgian style property features two storeys and an attic, arranged in a five-window range. The façade is highlighted by pilaster strips leading to a moulded parapet coping. A notable feature is the right-hand elliptical-arched doorway, which has a raised surround, imposts, a timber batswing fanlight, margin lights, pilaster jambs, and a six-panel door. The windows include 6/6-pane horned sashes in exposed frames, with three on the ground floor and a central French window on the first floor. There are also two hipped dormers with 3/6-pane sashes. A timber balcony on the first floor is supported by cast-iron brackets and features railings with oval panels. The front roof is tiled, with a coped left-hand gable and stack. The property is complemented by cast-iron front garden railings and a gate with urn finials, along with domed piers. The interior has not been inspected.
