Description
The balustrade, wall, and well head located 5 metres west of the Church of St Mary Redcliffe is an 18th-century structure. It is made of limestone ashlar and Pennant rubble. The rubble retaining wall is positioned on the west side of the churchyard and features turned balusters and square piers. At the north end, there is a flight of steps, while at the south end, a vermiculated semicircular arch is set into the wall. This arch includes a brass drinking fountain dated 1932, which has a lion's head and a grille in front.
