Description
The monument to Jane and William Oakley is a chest tomb located approximately 3 metres south west of the porch in the churchyard of St Andrew's Church. It dates from the early 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top with a moulded edge, moulded ends with a frieze and base, and main panels that include fielded panels. The base was noted to be sunk at the time of recording in November 1983. This monument commemorates Jane Oakley, who died in 1718, and William Oakley, who died in 1724. Information was provided by the Kinson Historical Society in June 1983.
