Description

This is a telephone box located at the junction with The Avenue, built around 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. It is made of cast iron and produced by several manufacturers. This is a standard K6 or "Jubilee kiosk" design, featuring three glazed sides with eight horizontal panes that have margin glazing. The rear is solid to support the telephone equipment. It has a shallow domed top adorned with crowns and the word "TELEPHONE" in opal lettering.
