Description

Mount Beacon Row comprises five terrace houses built in the early 19th century, situated on a slight slope down from number 2. The houses are constructed from limestone ashlar and have double Roman tile roofs with moulded stacks to the party walls and the right gable end. Each house is two storeys high and originally had a two-window front. A continuous sill band runs across the first floor, and each house features hoods supported by shaped brackets over the front door. Number 2 has alterations including a 20th-century door, replacement plastic windows, and a 20th-century stack to the party wall. Number 3 has a six-panel door with glazed upper panels, and six-over-six-pane sash windows. Number 4 features a 20th-century door and horned two-over-two-pane sash windows. Number 5 retains a flush six-panel door and six-over-six-pane sash windows. Number 6 exhibits painted ashlar with splayed reveals and lowered sills, featuring four-over-four-pane sash windows to the first floor and a single two-over-two-pane sash window to the left of a flush six-panel door. The interiors have not been inspected.
