Description

This description is for a group of two chest tombs located five yards from the southeast corner of the south aisle of the parish church. They date from the mid to late 18th century and are made of ashlar stone. The first tomb features inscribed panels that are now illegible, along with plain pilasters and an entablature. The second tomb has square panels with plain pilasters and an entablature. These chest tombs showcase a good collection of classical and traditional tomb designs and enhance the setting of the church.
