Description
The walls enclosing the garden to the northwest of Kelston Park are likely from the late 18th century and may have served as a kitchen garden. Standing approximately 12 feet high, these walls form a large octagonal enclosure. They are primarily constructed of brick with ashlar coping, while some sections on the north side feature a rubble exterior. Inside, there are brick piers at regular intervals. The south side includes a central gateway flanked by two panelled brick piers, which are topped with a cornice and finials. Although the ornamental wrought iron gates are now in pieces, they can still be found elsewhere in the park.
