Description

The rear garden wall and railings for No. 18 on Bathwick Hill were built around 1810. The structure is made of coursed squared limestone and features wrought iron railings. The wall is approximately 40 meters long and its height varies from a low dwarf wall to 2.25 meters due to the sloping ground. It includes two sections topped with plain spike railings, flanked by central rusticated gatepiers and a wrought iron gate. This wall is part of a series of attractive garden walls that face Smallcombe.
