Description

Ivor House, built around 1770 to 1775, features a combination of 19th and 20th-century alterations and may have been developed by Mark Spencer. The house is constructed from limestone ashlar at the front, with rubble on the basement and rear. It has a double pile parapeted mansard roof, covered with Welsh slate on the front and artificial slate on the rear. The left side has a coped party wall with two ashlar stacks topped with early clay pots.

The exterior consists of three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a two-window range. The first floor has two plate glass horned sash windows with plain reveals and stone sills, while the second floor features two similar sash windows. On the ground floor, there is a sash window to the left and a four-panel door to the right, which has flush beaded panels and two upper panels with late 19th or early 20th-century leaded lights, all in a plain reveal. A single Pennant step leads to a concrete-paved crossover. The basement includes a three-over-three sash window in a plain reveal with a stone sill, and a part-glazed plank door with a three-pane overlight under the crossover, with no area steps. A double dormer with plate glass horned sashes is present, along with a band course over the ground floor, a modillion cornice, and a coped parapet. A lead downpipe on the left is shared with No. 1 Spencer's Belle Vue. The rear elevation, which is partially visible, has a plate glass sash window on the second floor right and plate glass sashes in a triple dormer.

The interior has not been inspected. The property also features attached wrought iron railings with arrow heads on limestone bases.
