Description

Tyning House is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. Constructed of limestone ashlar and with a slate roof, it is a double-depth symmetrical range featuring a central valley and gabled ends. The front elevation has two storeys and contains four-pane sash windows above aspiring four-pane windows. A 20th-century door is located centrally, protected by a thin slab hood supported on consoles, with the inscription "TYNING HOUSE" above. Coped gables and stacks are present to the right of the front and to the rear roof, left. The rear features three four-pane sashes, a central door, and a glazed conservatory. A mid-level platband runs along the rear. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
