Description
No. 15 The Batch is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an illegible inscription on the left gable that reads M - 1727. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a double Roman tiled roof with raised coped verges. It has two storeys and attics, with coped stone gables topped by finials. The house has three bays, with 16-pane glazing bar sash windows set in plain stone surrounds on the ground floor, and a central five-panel door. The upper floors have 18-pane thick glazing bar sashes in plain architraves, although the left-hand window on the second floor is blocked. A continuous string course runs above the first and attic floors, and there are blocked square openings in the apex of the gables.
